The Opportunity Cornell University?s Learning Strategies Center is seeking a dedicated and organized Office and Operations Coordinator to streamline the day-to-day office workflow and support the work of the Learning Strategies Center (LSC) and Pre-Collegiate Summer Scholars Program (PSSP). This role provides high-level in-person support to the programs and services provided by the LSC. Responsibilities include coordinating projects, handling confidential information, and maintaining effective communication across various departments and partners. Daily work involves coordinating unit business processes such as financial transactions, data maintenance and administering student employment, as well as organizing department and other meetings, planning unit events, and managing inquiries from students, families, and campus colleagues. As the Office and Operations Coordinator, you will: Coordinate the 12-month planning procedures and timelines for LSC and PSSP Handle confidential information. Respond to inquiries about LSC programs. Manage the directors? complex calendars, including travel and meeting coordination. Oversee the employment process of 100 student employees. Maintain a detailed equipment inventory. Coordinate computing, printing, phone, and network needs for PSSP, and participate in key LSC and PSSP meetings by developing agendas and preparing minutes. Work closely with the LSC/PSSP administrative team to develop and disseminate informational materials about LSC services across campus. Develop attendance and evaluation materials that will be used by students, instructors, and administrators. Coordinate financial transactions, as you implement and provide information on financial policies, track receipts, prepare travel reimbursements, and monitor budgets and accounts to ensure expenditures are within limits set by the directors. Inventory and purchase office and teaching supplies. Handle current and historical program data, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations. Be responsible for coordinating LSC and PSSP events, including regular meetings and special occasions, including reserving rooms, organizing catering, ensuring appropriate technology is available and useable, and developing and enacting set-up and tear-down plans. Facilitate cohesion and connection among the entire team, as LSC instructors and staff are not all physically located in the same building. Hours and Location The Learning Strategies Center is located on Cornell?s Ithaca campus Computing & Communications Center. This position is typically performed between 8AM to 5PM, with some flexibility on start and end times, as long as a consistent, regular schedule is in place. Exact hours will be determined collaboratively by you and your supervisor. The successful candidate will have an associate?s degree in business administration, data management, or related field with at least 2 years relevant experience or equivalent combination. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgement, creative problem-solving and keen attention to detail. They will feel comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Because of the wide scope of the work involved in this job, this person will need to do research and ask questions when they don?t know how to do something. They will be interested in continuous learning and growth. This public-facing position requires in-person work, although some limited remote work is possible in coordination with unit needs. Bachelor?s degree or other formal 4-year training in business administration, data management, or related field. 3-5 years of experience providing high-level administrative support. Knowledge of Cornell systems and programs.
