Job Description

Essential Functions:

Uses the ANA Nursing Process (2010) to identify patient needs and develop appropriate care plans:
? Obtains detailed and pertinent information regarding the consumer's health and well-being.
? Examining the evaluation information is vital to identify the diagnosis or areas of concern.
? By personalizing the healthcare plan, the healthcare provider can expect better compliance and adherence to the treatment.
? Establishes a systematic plan that presents a range of tactics and methods to attain anticipated results.
? Takes action in accordance with the plan formulated and oversees patient advancement to ensure successful outcomes.
? Care coordination involves identifying and addressing the needs of the patient.
? Health promotion and education employ various strategies aimed at improving overall health and safety.
? By providing consultation, the advanced practice registered nurse and the nursing role specialist can influence the identified plan, improve the capabilities of others, and facilitate advantageous transformations.
? Determining the degree to which outcomes have been achieved.

Maintains professionalism in all aspects of practice, following the ANA Standards of Professional Performance (2010):
? Improving the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice requires a systematic process
? It is imperative for nurses to keep up with the most recent advancements in nursing and to have the competency to implement them
? Every nurse must evaluate their own practice based on the nursing standards and guidelines to provide the proper care required by the patients
? Regularly attends professional development conferences and events to stay current in the field
? Successful nursing practice involves continuous collaboration with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care and achieve optimal outcomes
? Ethical provisions guide practitioners in their interactions with clients, colleagues, stakeholders, and the public, ensuring a conducive and respectful work environment
? To apply research findings effectively, it is necessary to understand the context of the research and how it relates to the real world
? When delivering nursing services, healthcare providers should consider the impact on the practice. This includes ensuring that nurses have access to the resources, support, and equipment they need to perform their jobs effectively. It also means addressing any issues that may arise in the delivery of care

Master the appropriate tools and software to accomplish tasks:
? Back up and document the nursing interventions and patient care strategies.

? Strives to improve the quality of patient care delivery through creative and innovative problem-solving techniques.

Additional Requirements

Required:

Education - Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing

Certifications - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA); Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing or Wyoming Board of Nursing for Wyoming facilities

Preferred:

Experience - 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience

Education - Bachelors degree in Nursing

Physical Requirments:

This job requires individuals to possess great physical strength, demanding constant exertion of over 25 pounds of force (67-100% of the time), frequent exertion of more than 50 pounds of force (34-66% of the time), and the ability to move objects that weigh over 100 pounds on occasion. The position may also require exposure to radiation and frequent contact with contaminated needles and other infectious bodily substances. Scheduling flexibility is also necessary, potentially including the ability to work night shifts or irregular hours.
