We?re now seeking to hire a Digital Media Buyer, Google Ads Specialist to play an integral role on the team by supporting multimedia campaigns included but not limited to Science Moms, Powered by Michigan, Labor Dads, Not Today Doomsday, Vote Like A Madre as well as state and international initiatives. Video is key to growing our audience reach and engagement for our climate awareness and action campaigns (ex: https://sciencemoms.com). The Digital Media Buyer will be responsible for planning, purchasing, daily channel monitoring, reporting and optimization. This is an opportunity to be a part of Potential Energy Coalition?s in-house media team. The ideal candidate has complete knowledge of and passion for the Google Ads landscape (DV360, SA360, etc.); is comfortable with analytics, insights, and measurement, and is a proactive, enthusiastic self-starter. In addition, this person must be able to work across multiple groups within the marketing team and across departments. They will be proactive, results-driven, expert multi-tasker, and an excellent communicator. This role also often requires knowing how to build the plane as we fly it. Manage and execute paid distribution of campaign/brand content (YouTube, search, display, etc.) for advertising campaigns ? Execute campaigns in Google Ads including set up, daily budget pacing, optimizations, and reporting ? Manage YouTube display, YouTube video and google search campaigns, seamlessly integrating with the rest of the media mix. ? Create and maintain audiences in the platforms for targeting, remarketing, cross-channel integrations, sequencing, contextual audience building, etc. ? As a key member of the in-house media, performance marketing and analytics team, produce reporting and campaign insights on a regular and/or ad-hoc basis. This includes GA4 performance on websites of multiple ad channels including paid search, Youtube, Google Ads traffic, organic search. ? Participate in strategic planning to guide and prioritize growth and impact of our digital video, paid search and display practice. ? Ensure full, on-time, and efficient delivery of advertising campaigns, especially during tent-pole events (eg. Earth Day) and other cultural moments when we amplify content across channels. ? Work with the internal media team to accurately track billing and reconciliation of impressions and spend on actualized invoices. ? Communication with external partners, including client or agency teams, vendors. ? Manage ongoing relationships with Google representatives for innovation and troubleshooting. ? Implement best practices for copy, creative, and audience targeting in the Google Ads environment with oversight from the media and brand teams. Qualifications: ? Minimum of 4-5 years as a digital buyer at a brand, publisher, agency, or similar. ? Expertise in the Google Ads environment ? Familiarity with other digital media platforms is valued but not required: (e.g. The Trade Desk, Meta (FB/IG), TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter). ? Expertise in Youtube video advertising for all objectives along the marketing funnel. Must be highly proficient in skippable/non-skippable, Trueview, Discovery, bid strategies, audience targeting strategies from contextual, custom uploads to remarketing, brand lift studies and more. ? Proven experience implementing campaigns for awareness/persuasion objectives, acquisition lower funnel experience valued not required. ? Expertise in Paid Search via Google Ads (experience with Bing a bonus). Demonstrate experience in building keyword lists, developing ad copy for paid search, integration with SEO, guiding the organization in the best use of search for our campaign objectives. ? Experience with a range of digital marketing related to search and Youtube including in-platform and contextual audience building, onsite (website) pixels for retargeting/remarketing , Google Tag Manager, GA4, ad testing, marketing funnel design, landing page optimization. ? Strong analytical skills with the ability to comfortably translate large data sets, Google/Excel sheets, into actionable takeaways and insights ? Hands-on experience working with first party CRM lists and/or voter file audiences (TargetSmart, Catalist) to create custom audiences (both exact-match and look-alikes) ? Certifications in relevant platforms: Google Ads Search, Google Analytics, Microsoft Ads, Google Ads Video, Google Shopping Ads, Google Ads Display, DV360, GA4 not required but welcomed ? Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills ? Entrepreneurial, comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and positive ?can do? attitude ? Strong strategic thinker, quick learner and good listener and collaborator ? Excellent problem-solving skills; able to connect the dots and see outcomes and possibilities that go beyond specific numbers ? Strong verbal and written communication skills (experience with client-facing communication a plus) ? Bachelor?s degree or higher ?
