The role of a Shipping and Receiving Clerk at Dollar General entails effectively and securely handling the flow of goods within the distribution center. Additionally, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk assists with unloading incoming trailers, loading outgoing shipments, and arranging products within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

Freight Handling:
? Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors to unload and load items from incoming and outgoing trailers.
? Ensure that products are handled and positioned appropriately for storage or delivery to stores.
? Administer the sorting, labeling, and accurate monitoring of products.

Inventory Management:
? See to it that products are counted, structured, and housed in specific warehouse locations as required.
? Uphold inventory accuracy by confirming and tracking shipments, as well as addressing any instances of damage or returns.

Safety and Compliance:
? Stay in line with safety protocols to secure a risk-free work environment.
? Operate warehouse equipment and tools following specified instructions to reduce the likelihood of accidents and safeguard the merchandise.
? Follow all company guidelines, especially those related to the safe and proper handling of fragile or hazardous materials.

Efficiency:
? Adhere to productivity metrics by promptly accomplishing designated tasks.
? Engage in efforts to continuously improve warehouse processes, aiming to increase operational efficiency.

Collaboration:
? Collaborate closely with fellow workers, warehouse associates, and supervisors to maintain the efficiency of warehouse operations.
? Report any problems or delays promptly to supervisors for resolution.

Required Qualifications: ? Applicants are expected to possess a high school diploma or an equal qualification. ? While it is preferable to have prior experience in warehouse or freight handling, it is not a strict requirement. ? Skill development for warehouse machinery operation will be offered through training. ? Rigorous scrutiny and resolute commitment to accuracy. ? Efficient in lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and standing for prolonged periods. ? Exceptional communication proficiency and ability to excel in a team-focused setting.

Work Environment:
