Import Forwarding Manager
To plan, organize and control the input, movement, process/sort, and output of the operations to ensure a high level of service. Manages all other necessary activities which provide optimum service to customers.
Responsible for selecting, training, and developing a staff of 2 to 30 direct reports. Responsible for a staff of 1 to 30 indirect reports. Conducts meetings to provide employees with information regarding division/operation; applies consistent administration of disciplinary procedures. Maintains accurately all required reports/paperwork, payroll, performance reviews, goals, and personal record statistics through established paperwork guidelines. Ensures safety methods and programs are implemented and maintained. Instructs employees with/on methods to instill a service-conscious attitude, and minimize service failures. Ensures cost effectiveness of operations through established control of equipment, utilities and supplies. Maintains contact with customers (internal and external) with regard to conditions affecting the service level of area served. Controls movement and activities of all related products to ensure maximum efficiency.
This position requires strong basic management, human relations and communications skills. 4-Year degree preferred/ equivalent in business. Minimum 5 (five) years business experience in the field/industry. Minimum 3 years management/supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Mon - Friday 8am - 5pm - 24/7 operations, supporting 2 Supervisors and a team of 14
Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: $6,510.80 - $12,353.80 USD Monthly
