Role Overview

In the capacity of Bookkeeper, you will be integral in managing the financial records for a diverse portfolio of optometry clients. Your responsibilities will encompass transaction coding, reconciliation of statements, and the oversight of the monthly closing process. Additionally, you will handle payroll for participating practices and, as our service offerings expand, will also support accounts payable and bill payments.

Key Responsibilities
? Manage the bookkeeping and financial reporting processes for independent practice owners.
? Assist in transaction coding and partner with owners on decisions regarding expenses or capitalizing equipment purchases.
? Reconcile accounts and ensure timely and accurate monthly closings.
? Facilitate the payroll process by processing payroll, ensuring timely tax payments, and filing payroll reports.
? Provide support to a portfolio of up to 60 client practices on a monthly basis.
? Offer constructive feedback and contribute to the enhancement of our service offerings.

Required Skills
? Proficient in QuickBooks Online.
? Familiarity with QuickBooks Payroll, Gusto Payroll, ADP, and/or Paychex is preferred.
? Strong competence in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP, alongside proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
? Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong time management and decision-making abilities.
? Meticulous attention to detail and well-organized, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
? Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely.
