Position Overview: The Junior Account Manager performs a wide range of responsibilities to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service. This position works in close partnership with Account Managers, providing a high level of administrative and processing support.
Work Arrangement: This is a full-time, remote position that supports our office in Newport Beach, CA.
Professional Responsibilities: ? Set up service cases for employer and employee changes. ? Conduct research and communicate with insurance carriers to address specific questions. ? Answer main line calls and provide assistance to callers. ? Monitor and update information in the Employee Navigator system. ? Obtain member IDs and ID cards for clients. ? Look up Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) within networks. ? Obtain invoices related to insurance coverage. ? Process COBRA (Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act) requests. ? Retrieve and process insurance carrier documents, as needed. ? Handle urgent changes and communicate them to carriers. ? Perform bill audits to ensure accuracy. ? Create and update Wrap and POP (Premium Only Plan) documents. ? Close out old service cases and maintain updated records. ? Update policy information in the AgencyWare system. ? Process long-term disability (LTD) and self-billed life changes for specific groups. ? Assist in the preparation of policy renewals. ? Check the status of pending changes and follow up accordingly. ? Calculate deductions and provide rate breakdowns for clients. ? Attend internal meetings and training sessions to stay informed and updated. ? Attend meetings with insurance carriers to discuss client needs. ? Cover the account manager's inbox and handle calls during their absence.
Qualifications and Requirements: ? 1 or more years of experience in employee benefits administration, client service, administrative support, or a related field ? High School Diploma/GED ? Bachelor?s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred ? California Life and Health Insurance License preferred ? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) ? Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Suite and products ? A passion for being part of a team that drives our company to industry leadership ? Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both peers and clients ? Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Pay Range: $18 - $20 per hour depending on experience.
A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
