About the position

The Platform Testing Manager role at American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) is a pivotal position within the Enterprise Data Management and Analytics and Shared Services Engineering Team. This team is responsible for the business and technical ownership of data enablement for Amex GBT's enterprise products and analytics. The role emphasizes the importance of data and business intelligence in travel management programs, particularly in consolidating and enriching large data sets from various sources across multiple geographies. The Testing Manager will actively contribute to the delivery of Amex GBT's future data, analytics, and insight needs, particularly in support of the New Distribution Capability (NDC) initiative. This position will focus on end-to-end testing across various platforms, including DST, GTR, and Amex GBT's Enterprise Data Platforms. In this role, the Testing Manager will support end-to-end testing initiatives for technology deployments related to the DST, GTR, and Data Platforms, which serve as the source for enterprise product enablement and reporting. The manager will be responsible for translating customer and business value statements into technical specifications and capabilities, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of NDC standards, terminologies, and order processes such as bookings and ticketing. The role requires the ability to recognize complex business needs and data requirements, translating them into effective data content that can be utilized in reporting, visualization, and actionable insights. The Testing Manager will interact with technology partners, business stakeholders, and users, ensuring clear and accurate communication. Responsibilities include testing and validating processes to ensure successful completion, creating valid test scenarios, and developing and executing robust end-to-end test plans. This position is crucial for maintaining the quality and capabilities of Amex GBT's data management and analytics initiatives, ultimately contributing to the company's success in the travel industry.

Responsibilities
? Support end to end testing initiatives for technology deployments related to DST, GTR, and Data Platforms.

? Comprehend customer and business value statements into technical specifications and capabilities.

? Understand NDC standards, terminologies, and order processes such as bookings and ticketing.

? Translate complex business needs and data requirements into effective data content for reporting and actionable insights.

? Interact with technology partners and business stakeholders through concise and accurate communications.

? Test and validate processes to ensure successful completion and support the creation of valid test scenarios.

? Develop and execute robust end-to-end test plans.

Requirements
? 5+ years' experience in the travel industry.

? Good knowledge of travel technology and various phases of the travel reservation process.
,
? Experience working with at least 2 distinct GDS and APIs.
,
? Knowledge of IATA, ATPCO, EDIFACT standards.
,
? Experience working with XML, JSON, and various types of payloads.
,
? Experience testing travel technology with tools such as SOAP UI, Postman, JMeter, etc.

? Familiarity with design and development of data warehouse/data mart schemas and ETL processes is a plus.

? Strong and seasoned experience with SQL.

? Ability to craft clear, concise, and well-organized test documentation.
