Remote 1099 Attending Physician/Medical Director | WFH
Job Overview
We are actively seeking a dedicated Medical Director/Attending Physician for a contract role, primarily conducted remotely, allowing you to leverage your expertise in post-acute care. This position provides an exceptional opportunity to deliver critical medical leadership and enhance the quality of life for residents in skilled nursing facilities across Illinois, including Henry, Marshall, and Robinson.
Key Responsibilities
? Deliver professional medical services to residents of skilled nursing facilities.
? Provide medical and procedural consultation in compliance with relevant facility policies and legal regulations.
? Advise the Facility Administrator on service scope, future resident care programs, medical equipment, and staffing needs.
? Maintain availability for emergency consultations 24/7.
? Participate in monthly Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement meetings (minimum of 10 months per year).
? Assist in formulating clinical pathways aimed at improving resident care.
? Collaborate with facility staff and other attending physicians to ensure optimal care standards.
Required Skills
? Medical degree (MD or DO).
? Valid and unrestricted medical license in Illinois.
? Experience within skilled nursing facilities or post-acute care environments.
? Solid clinical skills and a thorough understanding of geriatric medicine.
? Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
? Capability to operate independently while also functioning effectively within a team.
Qualifications
? A medical degree (MD or DO) is required.
? Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Illinois.
? Familiarity with post-acute care settings or skilled nursing facilities is essential.
