Responsibilities
? Supports the goals of the organization through reporting, analysis, and data visualization.
? Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills by working with technical and non-technical customers to translate business needs into functional specifications.
? Advanced understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare terminology, revenue management data and processes.
? Ensures that standard business definitions are applied appropriately in all forms of reporting.
? Creates data visualization, such as charts and graphs, in Excel and other business intelligence tools (e.g. SAS-VA, Web Intelligence, etc.)
? Manages own work and adheres to project timelines under the guidance of senior staff.
? Builds queries in available BI tools against the EPIC clarity environment.
? Able to write and execute basic SQL joins and stored procedures.
? Participates in improvement projects both inside and outside the department.
? Applies advanced statistical analysis techniques in the context of healthcare operations.
? Extracts, manipulates and validates data from various sources.
? Able to mentor and coach colleagues and partners.
? Adheres to data standards and data sharing policies and procedures.
? Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications
? Master?s degree or equivalent experience
? Five years of experience working as an analyst
? Thorough understanding of healthcare metric and metric development.
? Proficient in MS Excel and advanced knowledge of BI tools
? Basic understanding of relational database concepts
? Completes Value Institute Green Belt training within one year
