Salary Unit: $23-$28 per hour

Job Description:

The City of Los Angeles Fire Department is looking for a competent and dedicated Fire Inspector to perform detailed inspections of buildings and properties to ensure compliance with fire codes, city ordinances and state laws. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with a keen eye for details and a deep understanding of fire safety standards.

Responsibilities:

– Conduct regular fire safety inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial properties.

– Identify potential fire hazards and ensure compliance with fire safety standards.

– Prepare and present reports detailing inspection findings.

– Review and approve fire safety plans and designs.

– Provide educational training and presentations on fire safety.

Requirements:

– High School diploma or GED.

– Certification as a Fire Inspector from a recognized institution.

– Minimum of 1 year of experience in fire safety inspections or similar role.

– Detailed knowledge of fire safety codes and regulations.

– Excellent communication skills and the ability to educate others.
