This position has a home-based office from an approved location in the Midwest.
Your Background
? Bachelor?s degree in accounting or five or more years of experience managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, budgeting, and cash flow.
? Firm understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
? Strong MS Office skills
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
? Strong ability to identify process improvements
Day-to-Day
? 3+ years' of professional accounting experience
? Prepare accurate and timely financial statements within Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
? Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
? Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor performance against budget and provide explanations for variances.
? Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Assist in audits, both internal and external, and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
? Assist with diverse spending initiatives and prepare diverse spending calculations.
? Complete business and tax registrations
? WBE applications and renewals
? Assist with business insurance renewals.
? Manage the 1099 process.
? Complete Worker?s Compensation audits
? Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes and systems, making recommendations for efficiency and effectiveness.
? Provide support and backup for the Accounting Associate.
