The Difference You Will Make:

Airbnb is seeking a Lead, Advanced Analytics, Product to help Airbnb enable travel for our millions of guests and hosts on our platform. This individual will play a pivotal role in supporting strategic business and product initiatives through detailed data analysis, experimentation, statistical modeling, and the development of reporting tools and metrics. The individual will be instrumental in driving product decisions across topic areas across the Guest and Host App.

A Typical Day:
? Conduct advanced data analysis and statistical modeling to extract actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
? Design, execute, and analyze experiments to measure feature impact and guide product iterations. Leverage causal methods when traditional randomized trials aren't available.
? Work closely with partners in Product Marketing, Engineering, and Design to size opportunities, determine relevant success metrics, and craft measurement plans for key product improvement initiatives.
? Design and build metrics / dimensions to monitor product and business performance.
? Build sophisticated reporting and analytical tools that empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
? Work cross-functionally with Strategic Finance, Data and Analytical Engineering, and Data Science teams to ensure alignment and leverage synergies.
? Manage senior stakeholder relationships, ensuring clarity of communication and strategic alignment on analytics initiatives.
? Contribute towards advancing the Analytics and Data Science disciplines at Airbnb, including driving data best practices such as improving and automating analytical processes, building new data tools and data sets, data education around the company and mentoring and developing others.

Your Expertise:
? 6+ years in industry experience and a degree (Masters or PhD is a plus) in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research).
? Prior experience in data science / product analytics working with large datasets pertaining to online marketplaces or B2C businesses, such as customer funnel analysis.
? Deep technical expertise in data analysis, experimentation, causal inference, and familiarity with LLMs
? Robust business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to make informed judgments.
? Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging with a variety of stakeholders and conveying complex concepts in an accessible manner.
? Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate and influence across functions.
? An agile, growth-minded approach, demonstrated through a history of driving projects from ideation to impact.

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
