Job Overview

We are actively seeking a committed Medical Director/Collaborating Physician to enhance our team, with a focus on overseeing new admissions and closely collaborating with Nurse Practitioners who provide care for residents in skilled nursing facilities, including both sub-acute rehabilitation and long-term care units. This pivotal role is aimed at promoting effective health practices... and functioning as an essential member of the medical staff. This position will be offered as a 1099 contract, requiring on-site presence at designated facilities.

Key Responsibilities
? Act as the Medical Director or Attending Physician for skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers, participating in administrative and quality initiatives for assigned locations.
? Attend and engage in monthly quality assurance and regulatory meetings alongside quarterly staff meetings.
? Involve yourself in quality improvement initiatives, offering guidance to facility staff, supervising clinical care plans, and ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
? Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners to manage daily resident care, with each facility supported by a full-time NP according to patient acuity and volume.
? Deliver high-quality, patient-centered, comprehensive primary care services by conducting rounds on residents in skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers.

Required Skills
? Board Certified or Board Eligible.
? Valid medical license in the state of practice.
? Active DEA/Controlled Substance License in the state of practice.
? Completion of a valid U.S. residency program.
? Strong ability to work independently while also effectively collaborating with on-site staff.
? Excellent communication abilities, particularly with the geriatric or Medicare population.
? Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
? Proficiency in utilizing email, internet resources, and healthcare-related software.

Qualifications
? Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
? A valid driver's license is mandatory.
? Capacity to work at least one day per week and travel to assigned facilities.
