Position Overview
You will play a pivotal role in supporting students on their academic journey. This position involves managing a caseload of students, offering educational guidance, and assisting with university policies and procedures. Utilizing strong communication skills via phone, email, and chat, you will ensure a positive student experience focused on building rapport, retention, and graduation.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of students, providing persistence, coaching, and financial literacy guidance.
Correspond regularly with students via phone and email to ensure retention and success.
Diagnose individual student needs and provide support in areas such as time management and technical skills.
Foster constructive relationships with students and staff.
Monitor student attendance and grades to ensure progress and retention.
Adapt effectively to a dynamic environment, meeting department expectations consistently.
Ensure compliance with university policies and external regulations.
Maintain data integrity and security within the student information system.
Engage with students through personalized communication to assess needs and promote success.
Develop and execute communication plans to support student progression and degree completion.
Evaluate student requests and resolve issues promptly.
Interpret university policies and procedures for students.
Collaborate closely with various departments to support student needs effectively.
Contribute ideas for policy and procedure enhancements.
Requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to research, analyze information, and exercise independent judgment.
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Knowledge of federal financial aid programs and online education models preferred.
Experience with student information systems and customer service strategies is advantageous.
