Key Responsibilities
? Oversee the financial operations for a portfolio of nonprofit clients, delivering comprehensive accounting solutions.
? Act as the outsourced Controller/CFO for various nonprofit organizations.
? Prepare financial reports for management and board presentations.
? Recommend and implement improvements to internal controls, operational procedures, and compliance policies.
? Manage crucial transactional activities including accounts payable/receivable, revenue recognition, payroll, and reconciliations.
? Conduct month-end close processes and maintain financial documentation.
? Perform financial analysis, including budgeting and forecasting.
? Lead grant management processes and prepare funder reports.
? Facilitate preparation for and management of annual audits.
? Provide training for clients and staff to ensure adherence to financial best practices.

Required Skills
? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
? At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within nonprofit or public accounting.
? Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with QuickBooks or other General Ledger software.
? Capable of managing multiple clients independently in a remote or hybrid setting.
? Previous experience in nonprofit accounting and financial consulting is advantageous but not mandatory.
? CPA certification is considered a plus.
? Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are beneficial.
? Strong interpersonal skills to foster client relationships while working collaboratively in a team environment.
