**Job Description**

As a Data Entry Typist at Remote-jobs Inc., you will be responsible for compiling, verifying accuracy, and sorting information to prepare source data for computer entry. You will review data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and checking output. You will help maintain and update our database regularly. You will work closely with our team to ensure all business data is recorded accurately and promptly.

**Requirements**

1. Proven experience as a data entry clerk.

2. Fast typing skills; with a touch typing system is a strong advantage.

3. Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets.

4. Basic understanding of databases.

5. Great attention to detail.

6. High school degree or equivalent.

7. Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively.

**Responsibilities**

1. Compile, verify accuracy, and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry.

2. Review data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities, and checking output.

3. Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents.

4. Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations, and perform backup operations.

5. Respond to queries for information and access relevant files.

6. Follow data integrity and security policies.

7. Maintain own office equipment and stationery supplies.

**Educational Qualifications**

At least a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional courses in data entry or typing will be advantageous.

**Experience**

At least 1-2 years of experience as a data entry clerk or similar position would be preferred.
