Experienced Tax Preparer - 100% Remote, Part-Time (10-30 hours per week)

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our CPA firm. The ideal candidate will be a CPA with 2+ years of experience filing tax returns for small businesses and their owners. Prior employment at small local public accounting firms is preferred over Big 4 experience. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. If you like preparing tax returns but would prefer to have limited direct interaction with clients, this job is for you!

Duties
? Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and small businesses, including primarily Forms 1040, 1120-S, 1065, and Texas Franchise reports.
? Complete bookkeeping clean-up projects for small business clients to get their books ready for taxes.
? Prepare estimated tax projections to calculate quarterly estimated tax payments for clients.
? Provide payroll support and assist with filing 1099s for small business clients.
?... Provide guidance on tax planning strategies and general business advice to clients.
? Stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and changes that may affect clients' filings.

Skills
? Strong knowledge of tax preparation processes and regulations.
? Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is a must, Pro Advisor certification preferred.
? Familiarity with Drake Tax Software and TaxDome Client Portal is a plus.
? Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts effectively.
