About You and This Role:

Dow is offering an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance and Reliability Specialist in Freeport, TX.

Key Responsibilities: ? Serve as an expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations. ? Develop and implement maintenance operating disciplines. ? Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, ensuring equipment meets its intended service conditions. ? Ensure work requests include detailed engineering input and provide technical support for deviations as necessary. ? Document repairs, repair techniques, and equipment-specific training. ? Support Global Project Methodology activities with maintainability input. ? Assist the preventive maintenance coordinator in reviewing spare parts lists. ? Enter quality, service, and product performance information into reporting systems. ? Contribute to the development of the maintenance budget to support the maintenance strategy. ? Provide engineering input for work packages to ensure compliance with standards. ? Offer input on work orders during turnaround projects, especially for critical equipment requiring engineering review. ? Provide equipment reliability and performance data to technical resource networks for equipment purchasing and performance evaluation. ? Complete EH&S orientation and required training, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injuries or environmental impact. ? Support Industrial Hygiene and other EH&S activities, incorporating safety considerations into maintenance planning and implementation. ? Utilize maintenance spending, reliability, and metrics to identify improvement opportunities. ? Initiate and implement reliability-related MOCs, understanding the principles of Long Term Cost of Ownership. ? Analyze and troubleshoot maintenance spending, with coaching, in the assigned area.

Qualifications: ? Bachelor's degree in engineering or appropriate military experience at or above the rank of E6 in the United States or Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant in Canada. ? At least three years of experience in maintenance, engineering, manufacturing, or a related field. ? Abilityto work at heights safely and have received instruction on how to use and maintain safety equipment. ? Possession of, or eligibility to obtain, a TWIC card as required for this position. ? Legal authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship/support available.
