Title: Patient Recruitment Assistant- This is a contract position
Location: Remote (USA)
Contract: 6 months
Summary: The Patient Recruitment assistant is integral to support the growth and success of Accellacare as an organization. The Patient Recruitment Assistant will encourage patients to participate in clinical research studies. They will conduct phone screens, review patient's basic medical information to determine eligibility, discuss research opportunities, maintain the patient database, and report recruitment outcomes.
Duties:
? Screen potential study participants accordingly to protocol inclusion and exclusion criteria by asking study specific questions
? Review, enter and edit patient information into clinical trial management software
? Book patients into site schedulers ensuring that entries are accurate and up to date
? Read and understand the purpose and inclusion/exclusion criteria for each protocol
? Respond to all leads within a 24 hour time period
? Identify appropriate study opportunities for interested volunteers based on knowledge of clinical trials and neighboring locations
? Problem solve and create contingency plans to optimize enrollment
? Effectively communicate importance of research participation to volunteers
? Provide an exceptional patient experience by building positive rapport and consistent follow-up
? Strive to meet personal and team targets
? Work in strict confidentiality in all forms including electronically, written form and verbal
? Accountable for delivering high quality, accurate work, ensuring all administration is filed accordingly
? Self-motivated, organize own workload to ensure effective delivery of delegated tasks and projects
? Business curiosity that encompasses ICON values
? Bilingual in English and French a plus

? Excellent communication - written and verbal skills
? Experience in marketing or sales position will be considered an asset
? Ability to creatively think for out of the box ideas on marketing and research promotion
? Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner
? Pro-active, flexible and able to multi-task
? Good organizational skills with attention to detail
? Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
? Self-motivated
? IT literate
? A basic understanding of medical terminology would be helpful but not essential

Le poste d'assistant(e) au recrutement des patients est essentiel pour soutenir la croissance et la reussite de l'organisation Accellacare. L'assistant(e) au recrutement des patients encourage les patients a participer a des etudes de recherche clinique. Il ou elle effectue des entretiens telephoniques, passe en revue les donnees medicales de base des patients pour determiner leur admissibilite, discute des possibilites d'etudes de recherche, met a jour la base de donnees des patients et rapporte les resultats du recrutement.
Fonctions:
Filtrer les participants potentiels pour une etude en fonction des criteres d'inclusion et d'exclusion du protocole et en posant des questions specifiques a l'etude;
Passer en revue, entrer et modifier les informations sur les patients dans le logiciel de gestion des essais cliniques;
Inscrire les patients dans les planificateurs du centre d'etude en veillant a ce que les entrees soient exactes et a jour;
Lire et comprendre le but et les criteres d'inclusion et d'exclusion de chaque protocole;
Repondre a tous les participants potentiels dans un delai de 24heures;
Identifier les possibilites d'etudes appropriees pour les volontaires interesses en fonction de la connaissance des essais cliniques en cours dans les centres a proximite;
Resoudre les problemes et creer des plans d'urgence pour optimiser les inscriptions;
Communiquer efficacement l'importance de la participation a la recherche aux volontaires;
Offrir une experience exceptionnelle pour les patients en etablissant une relation positive et un suivi coherent;
S'efforcer d'atteindre ses objectifs personnels et ceux de l'equipe;
Travailler en respectant les normes de confidentialite sous toutes ses formes, pour toute communication, par voie electronique, ecrite et verbale;
S'assurer de fournir un travail de haute qualite et precis, en veillant a ce que les documents soient deposes aupres du service administratif approprie;
Etre motive(e), et organiser sa propre charge de travail pour assurer une execution efficace des taches et des projets qui lui sont confies;
Montrer un interet et une curiosite envers la societe qui englobe les valeurs d'ICON.
Pour reussir, vous devez posseder ce qui suit:
D'excellentes habiletes en communication ecrite et verbale;
Une experience dans un poste de marketing ou de vente sera consideree comme un atout;
Une capacite a penser de maniere creative pour trouver des idees originales en matiere de marketing et de promotion de la recherche;
D'excellentes competences interpersonnelles et de bonnes manieres lors d'entretiens telephoniques;
Une attitude proactive et flexible ainsi que la capacite d'effectuer plusieurs taches a la fois;
De bonnes capacites d'organisation avec souci du detail;
Une capacite de travailler sous pression et dans des delais serres;
Une bonne motivation;
Des connaissances en informatique;
Une comprehension de base de la terminologie medicale est jugee utile, mais pas essentielle.
