Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Location: This role is 100% remote (candidate must be located in Oregon)

Compensation: $30/hour

Key Responsibilities: ? Manage and process end-to-end payroll for employees using UKG software. ? Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time, including the calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions. ? Coordinate payroll cycles and ensure compliance with payroll deadlines. ? Maintain and update payroll information in UKG, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. ? Perform regular audits to ensure accuracy of payroll data and compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements. ? Handle employee data entries, changes, and terminations in the payroll system. ? Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance. ? Prepare and file payroll-related reports, including tax filings, year-end reporting (e.g., W-2s), and other statutory returns. ? Respond to and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees, management, and external agencies. ? Configure and optimize UKG payroll software to meet the organization's needs. ? Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the payroll system, coordinating with UKG support as necessary. ? Participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new features. ? Reconcile payroll-related accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting. ? Assist with audits by providing payroll records and documentation. ? Coordinate with the finance department to ensure payroll expenses are correctly recorded. ? Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll issues and concerns. ? Educate employees on payroll processes, policies, and self-service functionalities within UKG.

Qualifications: ? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. ? Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll processing experience, with at least 2 years using UKG software. ? Demonstrated experience with multi-state payroll processing and knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations. ? Proficiency in UKG software, including payroll, timekeeping, and HR modules. ? Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliance. ? Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. ? High level of accuracy and attention to detail. ? Strong communication and interpersonal skills. ? Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred Attributes:
? Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
? Experience in a similar industry or organization size.
? Familiarity with other HRIS systems and integrations.
? Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
