About the position

Chewy is seeking dedicated Pharmacists to join our 'neighborhood pharmacy' located in Louisville, KY, specifically at our Fern Valley facility. This pharmacy is uniquely designed to cater to the needs of online pet parents, ensuring they receive the medications and care their pets require as prescribed by their veterinarians. As a Pharmacist at Chewy, you will play a crucial role in a team that is committed to delivering exceptional care and wellness services to both pet parents and their beloved pets. Your contributions will be vital in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service within the pharmacy team. In this position, you will have the opportunity to participate in a hybrid work-from-home rotation, allowing for flexibility in your work environment. Your primary responsibilities will include the interpretation and verification of medication orders, ensuring that all prescriptions are accurate and safe for use. You will review prescriber medication orders to identify any potential issues such as dosing errors, scheduling conflicts, contraindications, allergies, drug interactions, and incompatibilities. Effective communication with veterinarians, their staff, and pet parents will be essential to ensure that all parties are informed and that the best care is provided. As a leader within the pharmacy, you will oversee and direct pharmacy technicians and interns, providing them with ongoing training and coaching to enhance their skills and performance. You will also be responsible for maintaining necessary records to comply with Federal and State legal requirements, as well as adhering to pharmacy policies. Upholding operational standards, including performance metrics, safety, and compliance, will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you may be required to perform related duties and assignments as directed by management, which may include travel as needed.

Requirements
? Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (RPh) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).

? Active pharmacy license in the state of Kentucky in good standing, along with other required states and credentials.

? Ability to lead a team effectively.
,
? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

? Flexibility to work a variety of schedules, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
