Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we?re looking to add a Production Specialist located in Salt Lake City, UT. Reporting to the Associate Production Supervisor, the Production Specialist role is responsible for a variety of complex operations and duties in a production area. Shift: 3:00 pm ? 11:30 pm (Monday ? Friday) *if selected for this role there is a 15% shift differential. What a typical day looks like: Develops, maintains and improves assembly processes within area of responsibility. evaluates process specifications periodically to decide if the specifications accurately reflect the process requirements and reviews process steps and reduces inefficiencies. Supports engineering and the development labs with all new product introduction and development. Assists in the compliance of safety regulations, i.e. ISO and business controls. Handles first calls in non-maintenance down issues and provides assistance to manufacturing support with implementing changes. Monitors equipment performance and makes minor adjustments such as set-ups, calibrations and alignments. Clears minor machine difficulties and performs maintenance and repairs under supervision of technician, engineer or supervisor. Assists operators by answering questions and demonstrating operations. Spot checks product to ensure quality levels are maintained. Stays current working with manufacturing support on process and equipment changes and upgrades. Proactively assists supervisor in reaching goals/targets of the department. Trains Production Specialists 1 and 2 on a variety of manufacturing processes and procedures. Periodically evaluates process specifications to ensure the process requirements are accurately reflected. Assists operators by answering questions and demonstrating operations. Assists in performing preventative maintenance and minor repair work on production Connects rack to test stations and initiates tests. Reports failures to supervisor and assists in troubleshooting equipment failures. Clears rack to be packaged and shipped upon passing tests. The experience we?re looking to add to our team: Must have knowledge and 1-3 years of experience with assembly requirements. Completion of a high school degree is preferred. Successful completion of company provided training may be required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in small group situations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Demonstrates advanced technical skills. Demonstrates knowledge of manufacturing line techniques. Requires the ability to use complex equipment, read difficult instructions and schematics, and maintain written records. Use of the following tools may be required: Electronic Assembly: color code, component, loading, touch-up, commercial soldering, mechanical assembly, surface mount assembly, point to point wiring; Cables: crimping, harness assembly, connector/wire soldering, cable prepping; Testing: cable & harness testing, trouble shooting, component testing, logic analyzer; Inspection: bare board, systems, components, cable/harness, microscope, measuring tools; Machine Operations: automatic component insertion equipment, surface mount insertion equipment, wave soldering; Mechanical & Electrical Tools: power air guns, taps & dies, alignment tools, measuring tools; Office Skills: typing, telephones, Warehouse: forklift, electronic scales, pallet jack, staple gun, cycle counting, kitting.
