ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES Learning claims process through assisting the team working towards becoming proficient and licensed at which time there may be opportunity for growth to manage own claims. Assist with processing personal line property claims and ensures claim files are properly documented and coded correctly based on the policy. Maintains action plans to ensure state required contact deadlines are met and to move the file towards prompt and appropriate resolution; escalates issues as needed. Communicates claim action/processing with insured, client and agent or broker when appropriate. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES Performs other duties as assigned. Supports the organization's quality program(s). Travels as required. QUALIFICATIONS Education & Licensing High school diploma or GED required. Designated Home State All Lines License to be obtained within 9 months of employment. Sedgwick will cover the cost of study materials and first 3 attempts. Experience Experience in a fast paced environment, multitasking, working with different databases, and typing skills. Claims industry or General Office experience preferred. Skills & Knowledge Oral and written communication skills PC literate, including Microsoft Office products Strong organizational skills Good interpersonal skills Good negotiation skills Ability to work in a virtual team environment Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies WORK ENVIRONMENT When applicable and appropriate, consideration will be given to reasonable accommodations.
