The Quality Assurance Lead, will be responsible for coordinating & conducting comprehensive... testing of IT systems, including scenario and regression testing. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze requirements, develop test plans, execute test cases, and ensure the quality and reliability of our IT systems. The incumbent?s role will be instrumental in identifying defects, ensuring system functionality, and maintaining a high level of software quality. The role will involve managing both business and technology aspects of workstreams within large transformation initiatives throughout the project lifecycle utilizing Agile and waterfall methodologies. This individual will work on new and exciting business-driven transformation projects In a supportive environment that encourages every team member to share their ideas, thoughts and cultivate their creative abilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with highly visible, medium to large, complex initiatives along with having expertise in business and technical project management. The candidate should be an expert in Agile concepts, process reengineering, business transformation, and cultivating strong influential relationships. Essential Job Functions: Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand system requirements, features, and functionalities. Develop test plans, test strategies, and test scenarios based on project objectives, system architecture, and business requirements. Test Case Development: Design, create, and document test cases and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements. Ensure that test cases cover all aspects of the system under test, including positive and negative scenarios, error handling, and edge cases. Test Execution: Execute test cases and test scripts to validate system functionality, data integrity, and performance. Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to identify defects and ensure system stability and reliability. Defect Management: Identify, track, and report defects using defect tracking tools. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to investigate and resolve defects. Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and recommend appropriate solutions. Test Environment Setup: Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to set up and configure test environments. Ensure that test environments are representative of the production environment to accurately simulate real-world scenarios. Test Data Management: Create and manage test data sets, ensuring they cover various test scenarios and edge cases. Develop and maintain test data repositories for efficient test case execution and reusability. Test Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and work with the automation team to develop and maintain automated test scripts. Execute and monitor automated tests to increase testing efficiency and coverage. Test Reporting and Documentation: Generate test reports, including defect reports, test execution status, and test coverage. Document test procedures, test results, and other relevant documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference. Practice/Process Development: Contribute to Quality Assurance practice development via innovation, process development, knowledge sharing, and bringing new ideas/ solutions to fruition though change management and delivery. Project Management: Successful coordination/ facilitation of all aspects of an initiative (or workstream within an initiative), to bring about the desired results. Relationship Management: Manage relationships and expectations of workstream/project. Influence, collaborate, and partner with several diverse stakeholder functions through effective communication and well-tuned interpersonal skills. Leadership: Operate at a ?vision? level; act as a change agent where necessary and motivate a project team in support of meeting an initiative or business objective. Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate ability to map/develop processes with Voice of the Customer in mind, while challenging institutional norms. Evaluate organizational/area metrics to ensure that they promote appropriate behavior/success. Determine continuous improvement tools. Evaluate lessons learned. Communication/Collaboration: Support development and delivers of transparent communication across multiple levels of the organization. Clearly communicate/coordinator team progress by demonstrating teamwork with other workstreams/project leads. Schedule/Time Management: Monitor project process against commitments; ensure project resource time estimates are accurately reflected in project management tool to facilitate reporting on actuals for cost estimates. Requirements: BS or BA required, MS or MBA desired. 7+ years related Quality Assurance leadership experience required. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in IT Testing including general system testing, scenario and regression testing Minimum 5-7 years? experience in developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements. Minimum 3-5 years? experience with testing tools and technologies, such as defect tracking tools, test management tools, and test automation frameworks. Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices. Proficiency in executing test cases, logging defects, and managing defect lifecycles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate with stakeholders Minimum of 3 years of experience with industry tools: Smartsheets, JIRA, Confluence, preferred. Insurance Industry, Big 4 Advisory, Financial Services experience desired Demonstrated hands on experience managing large scale process development/improvement initiatives. Experience with and understanding of concepts of Organizational Change Management Ability to excel and lead in ambiguous situations. Skilled in facilitating a team in collaborative decision-making in a remote environment. Expert understanding of project management terminology, concepts, processes & tools, with an ability to creatively apply to projects, without increasing risk. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document test cases, report findings, and provide clear and concise updates. Able to travel 10-20% as needed.
