In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the precision and thoroughness of patient claims, while strictly adhering to industry regulations. Key Responsibilities
? Review and validate patient claims to ensure accuracy and completeness, while acquiring any necessary missing payer information.
? Assign and sequence medical codes accurately in accordance with government and insurance regulations.
? Guarantee compliance with medical coding guidelines and internal policies.
? Verify the accuracy of patients? charts and medical records.
? Work in collaboration with team members to clarify any ambiguous information.
? Gather physician-reported data from diverse sources to compile monthly reports.
? Implement procedural enhancements and strategies to ensure accurate results and improve operational efficiency.
? Assess and identify potential instances of medical malpractice by reviewing medical procedures and diagnoses that may relate to reported negligence.

Required Skills
? Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT coding (including Category II and/or E/M coding).
? Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., eCW, EPIC).
? Competence in MS Office applications.
? Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
? Strong team collaboration skills complemented by a high degree of emotional intelligence.
? Ability to make informed decisions that align with business objectives.

Qualifications
? Education: Associate degree in business, finance, health administration, or a related field is preferred.
? Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a primary care clinic setting is preferred.
? Certification: Must hold valid Certified Medical Coder credentials from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, CRC, CCS, CCS-P).
