Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Criminal Defense Attorney, you will:
? Manage and oversee all phases of criminal defense proceedings, from client intake to trial
? Conduct discovery, engage in motions practice, and perform thorough legal research
? Prepare for and attend depositions, motion hearings, pre-trial sessions, and trials
? Collaborate closely with clients, providing insightful guidance and effective legal strategies
? Formulate customized case strategies to robustly advocate for clients? rights

Required Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess:
? A Florida Bar license
? A strong understanding of the Florida Rules of Criminal Procedure
? Excellent communication skills with the ability to form strong client relationships
? Proficiency in managing a full caseload independently while meeting deadlines

Qualifications
? A minimum of 3 years of experience in criminal defense, including hands-on trial experience
? Former prosecutor or public defender experience is preferred but not mandatory
? Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
