• Experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription
• Excellent listening skills
• Adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides
• Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar
• Ability to collaborate remotely
• Typing proficiency in both speed and accuracy
• Ability to process extreme audio/text content (content may be offensive)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Familiarity with legal terminology
• Court reporting students will also be considered
• Current availability for Massachusetts or California residents is limited

Responsibilities
• Transcribing depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings with high accuracy
• Strictly adhering to specified style guides while producing verbatim transcripts
• Processing audio recordings while maintaining an intense attention to detail
• Collaborating with the in-office team for any support needed during the transcription process
• Managing a workload that can vary based on availability, with an emphasis on meeting client deadlines

Qualifications
• Proven experience in legal transcription, court reporting, or relevant fields
• Strong grasp of legal terminology and practices
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines

Education Requirements
• Relevant educational background in law, legal studies, or a related field is beneficial, although experience is prioritized

• Certification or course completion in court reporting or paralegal studies can be advantageous

Experience Requirements
• At least 2 years of professional experience in legal transcription or a closely related field
