Position Title: Remote Solar Project Development and PPA Specialist (India)

Location: Remote (Based in India; projects located in Texas, USA)

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable professional to work remotely from India, supporting the advancement of our Texas-based solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects through the final stages of development toward construction and operational readiness. This role requires expertise in Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), deep knowledge of renewable energy development, and familiarity with energy demand from data centers and high-tech companies in Texas.

The ideal candidate will have end-to-end solar project experience and will work closely with the founders, providing guidance on PPA negotiations, market opportunities, and strategies to secure favorable energy offtake agreements.

Key Responsibilities: ?Project Advancement: Support the founder in guiding solar and BESS projects from current development stages through to construction and operational readiness, focusing on permitting, interconnection, and compliance requirements. ?PPA Development and Negotiation: Lead efforts in structuring and negotiating PPAs, with a focus on high-demand sectors in Texas, such as data centers and high-tech companies. Ensure alignment with project revenue objectives and regulatory guidelines. ?Market and Opportunity Analysis: Research and identify potential PPA opportunities within Texas, particularly in industries with high energy demand. Develop strategies to approach data centers, technology companies, and other large energy consumers for offtake agreements. ?Financial and Development Strategy: Assist in creating financial models, budgeting, and exploring funding options to support the project? financial needs. Collaborate on strategies to secure funding and work with investors. ?Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with stakeholders, including utilities, regulatory bodies, and contractors, to ensure a streamlined transition from development to construction. ?Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, conduct risk assessments, and develop risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications: ?Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in solar and BESS project development, with a strong track record in PPA structuring and development. Specific experience in Texas or U.S. energy markets is highly desirable. ?Market Expertise: Knowledge of Texas? energy market dynamics, including ERCOT regulations, and familiarity with energy needs of data centers, high-tech companies, and other major consumers. ?Technical and Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of solar and BESS technologies, financial modeling, and project funding. Knowledge of the Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and U.S. renewable energy incentives is an advantage. ?Remote Work Capabilities: Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, coordinating with U.S.-based stakeholders and managing project activities from a Latin American location. ?Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience in managing stakeholder relationships and structuring complex agreements. ?Education: Bachelor? degree in engineering, renewable energy, finance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
