In this role, you'll oversee revenue recognition, manage the monthly close process, ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, and handle a variety of complex accounting duties. • **Revenue Recognition:** Oversee revenue recognition procedures and accounts receivable. Collaborate with the FP&A/Revenue Cycle Management team to drive efficiencies and establish best practices.
• **Process Improvement:** Design and implement processes and controls to ensure completeness, accuracy, and existence of revenue recognition, including balance sheet reconciliations.
• **Month-End Close:** Prepare and review critical month-end files with FP&A and RCM to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
• **Policy Update:** Assist in updating revenue recognition policies and memos in accordance with US GAAP and ongoing technical accounting research.
• **General Ledger Maintenance:** Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate financial transaction recording and appropriate coding.
• **Reconciliations and Journal Entries:** Prepare and review accounting reconciliations, approve related journal entries.
• **Communication:** Effectively communicate changes in contractual adjustments and required bad debt reserves with RCM, FP&A, and joint venture health system accounting teams.
• **Financial Close Management:** Ensure timely and accurate financial close on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Improve close and reporting cycles.
• **Transaction Identification:** Identify recurring and non-recurring transactions for management reporting.
• **Internal Controls:** Develop and enforce effective internal controls in compliance with GAAP and regulatory laws.
• **Annual Financial Objectives:** Support the establishment of annual financial objectives aligning with the company's operational, growth, and profitability plans.
• **Project Management:** Manage additional projects as needed, such as system implementations or upgrades.
? *Qualifications:**? Healthcare Revenue Experience:** Strong understanding and experience in healthcare revenue preferred.? ERP Systems:** Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.? GAAP Knowledge:** Thorough understanding of GAAP, internal controls, operational risk assessment, and financial reporting.? Analytical Skills:** Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; anticipate issues and provide sound guidance for resolution.? Excel Proficiency:** Advanced proficiency in Excel preferred.? Communication Skills:** Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.? Project Management:** Proven ability to manage projects, allocate resources, and collaborate across disciplines and locations. Excellent organizational skills.? • Bachelor?s degree in accounting required.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.
? *Experience:**
• 4 years of progressively responsible accounting experience required.
• Public accounting experience with national accounting firms through the manager level preferred.
