The Senior Sales Operations and Inventory Management Specialist will be responsible for organizing and coordinating various business... activities provided for the Elastomers Business Unit. Responsibilities also include supporting activities involving the various product lines, sold Direct or through Distribution or Sales Agents for the Elastomers Business Unit. This individual will be responsible for supporting and assisting in the development and implementation of business strategies and programs designed to increase profits and reduce costs. Major Tasks & Responsibilities: Develops sales operations strategies to meet production, profitability, delivery and introduction objectives for Elastomers product line. Sales Operations: Communicates customer requirements or marketing needs to proper internal personnel. Internal personnel include Sales, Product Management, Legal, Credit, Accounting, Controlling, Supply Chain Center and Manufacturing on a daily basis. Works with existing or potential customers to promote the use of Covestro products and communicating customer needs internally. Develops and updates monthly market information and forecasts for various product lines handled on desk. Achieves or exceeds profitability expectations for assigned area. Assists in formulation and implementation of long- and short-term strategic product or marketing plans for assigned area. Investigates debits, credits, returned goods. Inventory Management: Coordinates and orders imported inventory from France and Mexico while maintaining target levels to ensure customer orders are met. This includes building full containers from France. Responsible for communication of order delays or issues to Sales and Customer Service. Make recommendations for Floor, Limit and Guide prices. Responsible for disposition of DSMI (Dead and Slow Moving Inventory) including write downs and off spec sales as well as coordination with warehousing/plant on retain testing etc. Sets priority for New Martinsville production of Elastomers products - Represent Elastomers at the Sales and Operations Planning meetings Responsible for the communication of shutdown plans, write downs, and inventory target setting to meet global and regional goals. Establishes MTS, MTO and MTF product categories for each product/container combination. Ensures proper shipping and handling messages are built in SAP. Ensures proper warehouse stocking and min/max levels are established and met. Assist with product costing for sales team so correct customer pricing can be established to meet profitability goals. Takes the lead on internal CRM use and troubleshooting for the Elastomers Business Unit and acts as the key user for all sales inquiries and assistance. Allocation: Establish and manage allocation plan for any products that are short or impacted by Force Majeure. Communicate plan to Sales and Customer Service. Coordinate allocations with Germany or if France if needed. Place and modify orders as appropriate. Forecasting: Completes rough cut capacity planning monthly. Basic Qualifications Bachelor?s degree in with 4+ years? experience in procurement, inventory management, logistics or supply chain management Operational experience with SAP, Excel and Business Warehouse Preferred Qualifications Experience in Sales, Marketing or in a position that had direct contact with external customers Knowledge and Skills Business operations experience ? pricing or product planning, etc Strong analytical and problem solving skills Good communication skills ? verbal and written Good presentation skills Demonstrated experience and proven success in front of customers Ability to handle conflicts Strong computer skills #LI-Hybrid YOUR APPLICATION Are you as curious, courageous and colorful as we are?
