The Role:

The Software Engineer/QA Automation Tester at STS is essential for developing and maintaining software applications while also implementing automated testing strategies specific to the FEMADex project. The role focuses on ensuring that software systems are reliable, scalable, and meet the specific requirements of FEMA?s emergency management operations. Success in this role is achieved through the delivery of high-quality software solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of FEMADex?s critical operations.

The Software Engineer/QA Automation Tester at STS will:
? Create and manage applications that are critical to the functionality of FEMA?s operations, ensuring they meet reliability and scalability standards.
?... Design and execute automated testing scripts to ensure software performance and quality, reducing the potential for errors and ensuring system dependability.
? Engage with other departments to gather and understand functional requirements, accurately translating them into detailed technical specifications.
? Participate in code review processes, providing constructive feedback to ensure adherence to best practices and maintaining high software quality.
? Continuously identify and implement process improvements, focusing on automating manual processes, optimizing workflows, and scaling the infrastructure to support FEMA?s needs.

Education and Experience:

Required:
? Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
? 5 years of experience in Software Engineering and QA Automation Testing, with a proven track record of developing scalable software solutions and implementing effective testing frameworks
? Proficiency in software engineering methodologies, automated testing tools, and Agile IT product delivery, with experience in environments requiring rapid and iterative development
? Strong analytical skills to assess system performance, coupled with project management abilities to oversee development and testing processes
