(VIRTUAL) EL Certified Special Education Teaching Need in Michigan

About the Role:

Are you an experienced Special Education Teacher with an ESL certification looking for a flexible, remote opportunity to impact students across Michigan? We are seeking a dedicated and innovative special education teacher to join our virtual team. You?ll provide individualized instruction and support to K-12 students, helping them thrive in an online learning environment while working from home. As a 1099 contractor, you?ll have the freedom to set your own schedule and work independently.

Key Responsibilities: ? A licensed EL teacher will support 9 EL scholars. ? Provide virtual instruction to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring that IEP goals are met. ? Attending EL meetings biweekly, building-based ILP meetings, documenting services, and creating/maintaining ILPs. ? Conduct virtual assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for growth. ? Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to promote success. ? Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and administrators to ensure a supportive learning environment for all students. ? Stay up-to-date on special education regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.

Qualifications: ? Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Special Education. ? Active Michigan Special Education teaching certification (required). ? Experience developing and implementing IEPs. ? Prior experience working in a virtual setting is a plus. ? Strong knowledge of special education laws, including IDEA and 504 plans. ? Excellent communication and organizational skills. ? Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.

Compensation:
? Competitive hourly pay (1099 contractor position).
