Key Responsibilities

• Virtual Counseling: Deliver individual and group counseling via secure teletherapy platforms to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

• Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention during student crises to ensure their safety and emotional stability.

• IEP and 504 Plan Collaboration:** Work with educators, parents, and administrators to create and implement IEPs and 504 plans focusing on students? social-emotional needs.

• Resource Coordination: Link students and families with community resources, including mental health services, to enhance their overall well-being.

• Family Engagement: Maintain consistent communication with parents and guardians to update them on student progress and offer strategies for supporting their development at home.

Qualifications

• Education: Master?s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field.

• Licensure: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with a School Social Work endorsement in Michigan.

• Experience: At least two years of experience in a school setting; experience in virtual or remote environments is preferred.

• Skills: Proficient in teletherapy, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of students? social-emotional development.
