Job Description

We are looking for dedicated Pharmacy Technicians to join our team remotely in the EST Timezone. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for reviewing Prior Authorizations for coverage determination. You will either approve or deny these requests and then send them to a Pharmacist for final review. This role involves handling all health plans and all types of medications with minimal phone work, primarily outbound if required.

Responsibilities
? Track coverage determination requests.
? Obtain verbal authorizations and request detailed clinical information from prescribers.
? Approve requests based on criteria and enter decisions into the PBM system.
? Notify providers and members of decision outcomes.
? Respond to client inquiries.
? Refer requests for specialty drugs.
? Contact providers for additional information.
? Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls, if needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
? Experience in retail pharmacy, call center, PBM, hospital, or specialty pharmacy.
? Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance health plans.
? Must be a registered pharmacy technician in the state you reside in and nationally certified.
