This full-time permanent position is located within the Division of Business Management (DBM) and is headquartered at the Hill Farms State Office Building on the near west side of Madison, Wisconsin. We are also conveniently located close to the restaurants, shopping, and entertainment of the Hilldale Mall. *This is not a fully remote position as you may be required to report to the Madison, WI office on extremely short notice. *

Position Summary
This position will:
? Develop and implement integrated communications and promotional activities for BITS IT services, operations, projects, incidents, and initiatives that impact internal business areas and staff across WisDOT.
? Work with BITS staff, managers, and Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) to identify and create communications that effectively increase internal customer awareness and understanding of BITS IT services, products, and activities.
? Design, develop, and maintain BITS-managed internal IT-related SharePoint content, newsletters, articles, surveys, presentations, templates, etc. to facilitate transparency and consistent communication within BITS and about BITS to its internal WisDOT partners and customers.
? Serve as the BITS IT communication liaison with other internal WisDOT groups to coordinate IT-related communications and communications planning (e.g., Office of Public Affairs, Office of Workforce Development, Continuity of Operations/Continuity of Government, etc.).
Salary Information
This position is in schedule-range (07-04) with an annual salary of $54,080 - $70,782 (or $26 - $34.03 per hour), plus excellent benefits. A twelve-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
Job Details

Qualifications
Qualified applicants must detail having experience in all of the following in order to be considered:
? Professional experience developing communications, marketing strategies, and materials in a variety of formats (e.g., presentations, emails, articles, training, websites).
? Experience synthesizing, summarizing, and communicating technical information to a variety of non-technical/technical audiences.
? Experience facilitating diverse teams within an organization to accomplish a communications-related goal.
In addition to having all of the above criteria, well qualified applicants will also have experience in at least one of the following:
? Experience developing communications specifically related to IT concepts/activities.
? Experience creating and managing SharePoint sites/content.
? Experience developing data-driven communications metrics.
