Staff Accountant - Virtual Healthcare

Description:
? This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled
? This role involves preparing financial statements (balance sheets, profit and loss reports) and analyzing financial data to forecast future financial outcomes
? Ensures that all financial transactions are properly recorded and posted in the accounting system
? Ensures accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and performs reconciliations between subsidiary ledgers and the general ledger
? Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other key reports
? Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to provide insights into future revenue and expenses
? Assists in the reconciliation of bank statements, credit cards, and other financial accounts
? Ensures that financial transactions comply with accounting policies and regulations
? Supports internal and external audits, providing requested documentation and addressing any discrepancies
? Assists with budget preparation and forecasting, and monitors financial performance against the budget
? Assists with payroll processing, ensuring the accurate recording of employee hours, deductions, and benefits, and addresses payroll-related inquiries with HR
? Supports other Accounting team functions as needed

Requirements: ? Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field ? Must have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in general accounting, within a healthcare environment ? Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) ? Solid knowledge of Excel and other financial analysis tools ? Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines ? A team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic ? Proactive and self-motivated, with a problem-solving mindset and a can-do attitude ? Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment
