BroadPath is seeking an Unlicensed Pharmacy Technician to join BroadPath's dynamic, connected culture! Our motivated, Unlicensed Pharmacy Technician will assist our members with calls regarding non-formulary, prior authorizations, and up-tier medication requests.

Responsibilities
? Process prior authorizations for prescriptions received from providers
? Handle inbound member calls related to non-formulary, prior authorizations, and up tier medication requests
? Research compound prescriptions to ensure accurate processing
? Conduct possible outbound calls to providers for additional information
? Provide prior authorization recommendations to reviewing Pharmacists based on established guidelines
? Set up and process all specialty medication reviews, regardless of the benefit utilized
? Maintain a working knowledge of pharmacy and medical claims processing systems
? Become a subject matter expert in prior authorization, non-formulary, and up tier medication requests, with a focus on Specialty Prior Authorization, pre-certification, and some retrospective reviews
? Utilize computer systems to input prescription and patient information accurately.
? Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to pharmacy operations
? Collaborate with pharmacy team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
? Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance pharmacy knowledge and skills

Qualification
? High school diploma or equivalent
? Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling medications
? Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
? Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
? Customer service-oriented with a friendly and approachable demeanor
? Computer literate (Microsoft Windows, keyboarding skills, strong systems aptitude)

Candidate will be responsible for providing:
? Responsible for providing your own 19' monitor or larger with VGA or HDMI port with corresponding cable, USB wired mouse, ethernet cable, and optional USB wired keyboard
? Reliable hardwired internet is a must with at least 25mbps download|10mbps upload speeds

? Previous experience in a pharmacy technician position
